Ab Major scale on the guitar fretboard
The Ab Major scale is made of Ab (the root), Bb (major second), C (major third), Db (perfect fourth), Eb (perfect fifth), F (major sixth) and G (major seventh). The fretboard shows every one of them across the neck in standard tuning (E A D G B E), and plays them back so you can hear the scale.
The major scale is seven notes in a pattern of whole and half steps, and it is the reference most other scales are compared with. On the neck its notes cover most of the fretboard, and patterns slide along a few connected shapes. Its modes are the same notes starting from a different degree.
