Ab Aeolian scale on the guitar fretboard
The Ab Aeolian scale is made of Ab (the root), Bb (major second), Cb (minor third), Db (perfect fourth), Eb (perfect fifth), Fb (minor sixth) and Gb (minor seventh). The fretboard shows every one of them across the neck in standard tuning (E A D G B E), and plays them back so you can hear the scale.
The Aeolian mode is the natural minor scale, the sixth mode of the major scale. It shares its notes with the major scale a minor third above, so the neck shows one shape with two names. Its close relatives are the harmonic and melodic minor scales.
