Eb Minor Seventh chord (Ebm7) on the guitar fretboard

The Eb Minor Seventh chord (Ebm7) is made of Eb (the root), Gb (minor third), Bb (perfect fifth) and Db (minor seventh). The fretboard shows every one of them across the neck in standard tuning (E A D G B E), and plays them back so you can hear the chord.

The minor seventh is the minor triad with a minor seventh added, four notes in all. Because it contains the notes of a major chord a minor third higher, the two shapes overlap on the neck. It is a close cousin of the half diminished chord, which differs only by a flattened fifth.
