C Blues scale on the guitar fretboard
The C Blues scale is made of C (the root), Eb (minor third), F (perfect fourth), F# (augmented fourth), G (perfect fifth) and Bb (minor seventh). The fretboard shows every one of them across the neck in standard tuning (E A D G B E), and plays them back so you can hear the scale.
The blues scale listed here has six notes, with a raised fourth between the fourth and the fifth. The map shows how that one extra note joins the minor pentatonic shapes on the neck. It is a close relative of the minor pentatonic.
