G Suspended Fourth chord (Gsus4) on the guitar fretboard

The G Suspended Fourth chord (Gsus4) is made of G (the root), C (perfect fourth) and D (perfect fifth). The fretboard shows every one of them across the neck in standard tuning (E A D G B E), and plays them back so you can hear the chord.

The suspended fourth swaps the third for a fourth, so the chord leans toward resolving. The fourth is only a step above the third, which means the two shapes sit very close on the neck. It is a near cousin of the suspended second, which pulls the middle note down instead.
