G Suspended Second chord (Gsus2) on the guitar fretboard
The G Suspended Second chord (Gsus2) is made of G (the root), A (major second) and D (perfect fifth). The fretboard shows every one of them across the neck in standard tuning (E A D G B E), and plays them back so you can hear the chord.
The suspended second replaces the third with a second and keeps the fifth, which opens the chord up. The second is an octave away from the ninth, so its shape resembles the added ninth without the third. It is the mirror of the suspended fourth, which moves the middle note upward.
